Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzalez-Collins in both the United States as well as Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. Her employer is ESPN as a SportsCenter News Anchor. In 2016, she joined ESPN. She is the daughter of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. Since she was nine years old, her ability to communicate in two languages led to her obtaining the job she wanted in Miami as a production assistant at Univision. In 2009, the CBS subsidiary located in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become an sports reporter. She moved in 2009 from Rio Grande Valley, Texas to become an anchor for the newscast of The Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move to Rio Grande Valley in Texas, where she became an editor for KNVO48 Univision and Fox2 News. Her duties as an anchor for sports or weather were also frequently demanded. The same role she also worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports show). Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually relocated into Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. She is more mature than her younger sister. She has an older sister. Soon after, her parents separated and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo got married again. He died from kidney cancer in 2006. In June of 2006, she spent an entire week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed there. Antonietta had just graduated high school, however she knew what she was going to do. As it turned out she loved the school and that they had the degree she was searching for. After completing the requirements for high school, she attended the university to study media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station director of WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to be confident and was greatly moved by his passion for journalism.
